Can Tylenol and Antibiotics cause heartburn?
About an hour ago I took two tylenol and an antibiotic I was prescribed for my root canal and now I’m having heartburn. I have taken two rolaids and drank a glass of milk and it still hasn’t gone away. Did the combination of medicine cause it? And is there anything else I can do to stop the heartburn?
Doubtful the two together would cause indigestion. But the antibiotic can since it is not selective when it kills certain bacteria, and often kills friendly digestive bacteria as well. Can take yogurt while you are on antibiotic that will help to replace the flora. Can also take some acidopholis to replace much needed digestive bacteria.
